Our products

Standard designs adapted to your terminal, vessel or platform, or fully custom-made.

A Dutch family company since 1941

It all started with a small shipyard and the wish to design and build aluminium boats. In 1961 Joost Verhoef built and tested the first freefall lifeboat in the world; in 1966 the first Verhoef gangway system followed.

Today Verhoef supplies gangway systems for the largest ULCCs down to the smallest barges, and freefall lifeboats certified to SOLAS, DNV-OS-E406 and NORSOK R-002.

About Verhoef

The first aluminium freefall lifeboat with electric propulsion

In 2019 Verhoef delivered the FL50-NS-EP to Aker BP for the Valhall Flank West platform: 32 persons, Li-ion battery packs and far less maintenance than a diesel engine.
